Olympic Tennis Centrer : Tennis

The Olympic Tennis Centre is part of the Athens Olympic Sports Complex in Maroussi, situated on the northern outskirts of Athens.
It consists of 16 floodlit hard surface Decotuff II the same as that of US Open.

The facility is accessible to persons with disabilities and offers:

  • 10 tennis matches, the total potential capacity of 15,400 spectators.
  • The main stadium has a capacity of 8000 seats. There are 300 seats in addition to written and electronic media.
  • The main stadium has 4 electronic scoreboards
  • All the necessary support functions
  • Linked to 1 pitch and outside pitches through the tunnel.
  • The stadium has a capacity of 1 3000 posts. There are 80 seats in addition to written and electronic media.
  • It features an electronic scoreboard.
  • The stadium has 2 2 electronic scoreboards.
  • The 8 tennis matches have a capacity of 3400 seats.
  • 6 training courses.

Operating Framework

The Olympic Tennis Centre, after the successful Olympic Games in Athens, opens its doors to the public and hopes to become a pole of attraction for people of all ages who love tennis. The excellent facilities, professional standards, inside the Olympic Stadiumguarantee a unique “tennistiki experience.” The Center has 16 hard surface courts Decoturf II identical to that of US Open, locker rooms, gym, entefktiria, meeting rooms, press conference room, etc.

Method of Reservation: The reservation of land made by phone (210 6834562-3) or direct booking based on availability of land, subject to priority.
Hours of installation:
Weekdays: 07:30 – 23:00.
Weekends: 08:00 – 22:00.
Entry: You enter the premises on the official entry leading to the lobby.
By attending your reception, give your identity to police, to which they receive with the departure and settle your account. To make your site must demonstrate membership card you have.
The athletes have to carry soap, towels, etc.
The Tennis Center is not committed to providing sports equipment (balls, rackets, etc.).
The Center accepts no responsibility for any loss of personal property.
Everybody must respect the space and keep it clean.
If games are not permitted to use the land by anyone.

During the Special Olympics World Summer Games ATHENS 2011, June 25 – July 4 2011.The  Olympic Tennis Centre is part of the O.A.K.A. during the World Summer Games Special Olympics Athens 2011 will be held the following events:

4.  Points of Emphasis – Rules Conditions

•  Short set scoring will be used for this competition. Sets are the 1st player to win 4 games, while leading by 2 games (4-1,4-2,etc.). A 7-point. Tiebreak is played at 4-4. Athletes play 2 out of 3 sets, with a 7—point tiebreak
played
  in
