ΜΑΘΗΤΕΣ ΓΥΜΝΑΣΙΟΥ ΚΑΙ ΛΥΚΕΙΟΥ ΕΝΩΝΟΝΤΑΙ ΜΕ ΤΟΝ ΥΠΕΡΟΧΟ ΚΟΣΜΟ ΤΩΝ ΝΙΚΗΤΩΝ

In a separate event, the Ministry of Education, Lifelong Learning and Religious yesterday 28/03/2011 the President of the Organizing Committee of the Special Olympics World Games ATHENS 2011 and the Special Olympics Hellas Gianna Despotopoulou and Minister of Education Mr. Evi Christofilopoulou awarded the 150 High School students from Attica, participating in the World Youth Summit.

The event was to be awarded to 150 students the title of a Junior Leader for their active and valuable participation in the World Summit Youth Special Olympics Athens 2011, and their contribution to establishing a culture and respect for diversity, together with Special Olympics Hellas athlete.

Furthermore, the writer awarded by Angeliki Varella and Mr. Tety Solou illustrator for their book “The Wonderful World of Winners” and their role in spreading the message of the Special Olympics for young people.

Students who participate in Global Youth Summit is a public, private and foreign schools in Athens. From January 2010 to participate in monthly activities with Special Olympics Hellas athlete to understand the current needs of people with intellectual disabilities and to prepare for the World Youth Summit, which will be held in Athens from June 25 to July 4, 2011.

At the World Youth Summit involving 150 Youth Leaders from Greece and 150 Youth Leaders from abroad who through their actions during the session aimed at informing the Greek society and raising awareness among SMEs.

– The Special Olympics World Games ATHENS 2011 will be held from June 25 to July 4, 2011. The Games will bring together over 7,000 athletes and 2,500 coaches from 180 countries, 3,000 judges / referees, 40,000 family members of athletes, 25,000 volunteers and the event will cover 3,000 journalists from around the world.
