The Flame of Hope will arrive on the island thanks to the volunteers runner officers from around the world to carry it along with Special Olympics athletes and our children from special schools in our region. They are called Guardians of Hope and optimism for a better world and we thank them!
Skiathos Municipality invites you to host an event of the Flame of Hope on June 14, 2011 at 19:30 to be held in islet Bourtzi.

The wonderful journey of love will end Friday, June 24, 2011 in Athens, where the Torchbearer will carry the Flame of Hope to all the cultural monuments of the capital. The Flame will stay overnight in the Sacred Rock of Acropolis, the front of the Parthenon, with an honor guard, according to Olympic standards – Evzoni the Presidential Guard.

The Torch
